On January 26th, 2012, Nintendo launched the Nintendo Network. On November 18th, 2012, Nintendo launched its social networking platform for the Wii U system and the Nintendo 3DS family of systems called Miiverse. The Miiverse service was shutdown on November 8th, 2017.

This domain name has been used by a few developers of a fan revival called Pretendo Network since roughly 2020. Particularly, it has been used to aid in testing a fanmade revival and successor known as Juxtaposition, or Juxt for short. The domain is also seen in their X-Nintendo-WhiteList header, which console endpoints include in their responses to determine which domains the Miiverse applet can access for subresources.

Unfortunately, the domain was never bought until September 24th, 2026. This purchase was made without the oversight of the Pretendo Network team or any other developers to help fix this minor and likely inconsequential issue.
